What I do with your information
Short version: I use what you send me to answer your enquiry and to write your ceremony. Nothing is sold, shared or added to a mailing list.
Who is responsible

What I collect
- The name, email address, phone number and message you send through the contact form.
- Details you give me while we plan a ceremony, which may include names, dates and family circumstances.
- Nothing else. This site does not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
Why I hold it
To reply to you, to write and deliver your ceremony, and to keep the records that HMRC requires me to keep. Ceremony scripts are kept so that families can ask for another copy later, which happens more often than you would think.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within twelve months. Booking records and invoices are kept for six years, because tax rules say so. Ceremony scripts are kept indefinitely unless you ask me to delete yours, which I will do without argument.
Who else sees it
Nobody, unless it is part of the job. For a funeral that usually means your funeral director and the crematorium. For a wedding it may mean your venue or photographer, and only about timings. My email is hosted by a mainstream provider and my accounts are prepared by an accountant, both of whom are covered by their own data agreements.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will sort it within a month, usually the same week. If you are not happy with how I have handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Photographs
I only use photographs from ceremonies on this website or on social media when the family has said yes. If you have said yes and then change your mind, tell me and the picture comes down.
